Cette page décrit la configuration de [[linux:livetux]] pas à pas

===== Installer Linux Debian Etch =====
Récupérer la dernière version de [[linux:Debian]]. Graver le CD et suivre l'installation pas à pas.

Caractèristiques procipales de mon installation :
  * Noyau 2.6
  * Environnement graphique Gnome

===== Faire marcher Xorg =====
Configurer [[Xorg]] afin qu'il démarre.

Par exemple, si l'écran ne supporte pas la fréquence séléctionnée, ajouter la ligne suivante dans la section "Monitor" de /ect/X11/xorg.conf :
      VertRefresh     60.0 - 60.0

===== Mettre à jour le système =====
Utiliser aptitude pour mettre à jour les packets. Installez le dernière noyau disponible pour votre système.

===== Installer les drivers Nvidia =====
Voir [[Nvidia]].

Votre fichier /etc/X11/xorg.conf doit ressembler à :

===== Configurer Xorg avec un deuxième layout =====
Configurer un deuxième layout dans [[Xorg]] correspondant à la configuration particulière utilisé pour regarder les films. Pour moi il s'agit d'utiliser la deuxième sortie de la carte vidéo en 1024x768. (Voir [[Xorg]] pour plus de détails).

===== Configurer GDM pour le bi écran =====
Pour des raisons de performance, je n'active pas les deux sorties video en même temps.\\
J'utilise [[GDM]] pour switcher de layout. J'ai donc configuré un deuxième serveur statique (Voir [[GDM]]).

Pour Livetux, il suffit d'ajouter à la fin :
